Can you believe it?
Not long now till your retreat starts! I’m so looking forward to welcoming you here in person.
Thank you ever so much for your final payment – it has arrived safe and sound.
Before you set off (or perhaps while you’re en route, I’d love for you to take a moment to read these two pages:
🔹 What is Walking Meditation?
🔹 What is Writing Meditation?
A quick read beforehand will give you a sense of what’s in store and gently ease you into retreat mode.
You can find the full packing list here. Think of it as a gentle suggestion rather than a strict directive, although everything on the list is there for a very specific reason. The one non-negotiable? Well-worn water (and mud!) proof walking boots or shoes.
Although you won’t have anything directly to do with them, please take a few minutes to read my Safety Procedures Around Horses page. Even if you’re an experienced equine enthusiast, it’s important that everyone’s on the same page — the horses included.
Also, could you kindly send me your travel details when you get a moment? Especially if you’ll be needing a lift from Nogaro — I’ll pop on my chauffeur’s hat and come collect you.
One last thing — do let me know if you have any food allergies, intolerances, or aversions (no judgment — I, too, have a complicated relationship with Brussels sprouts).
I can’t wait to see you on the first day of your retreat, at 18h00, when the gate will be unlocked.
With warmest regards,
Margaretha
PS. According to current French regulations, non-EU visitors now have to fill in a Fiche Individuelle Police – I am attaching one to this e-mail – if you could fill it in and email it back to me, I’ll be very grateful.
