A Compassionate Guide to Coping with the Loss of Your Horse

Are you struggling to cope with the overwhelming grief of losing your once-in-a-lifetime horse?

Are your friends baffled by the intensity of your emotions? Maybe they find it strange that you are still grieving more than a year (two years/three years/for the rest of your life) after your horse’s passing?

Do you replay your horse’s final moments over and over, questioning whether you did everything you possibly could?

If you do, I know exactly how that feels. You are not alone. I’ve been there, and I’m here to help.

When I lost my soulmare Belle three years ago, after two decades together, I desperately needed some guidance, understanding, reassurance, and support to help me make sense of the complex emotions that accompanied this extremely painful loss. I created this online guide as an in-your-own-time at-your-own-pace course, “A Compassionate Guide to Coping with the Loss of Your Horse” to provide a roadmap to coming to terms with, what was for me, a heartbreakingly debilitating loss, often misunderstood by my friends and family who were not into horses.

A Compassionate Guide to Coping with the Loss of Your Horse” is unique, because as a fellow horse owner who lost a heart horse, I understand precisely the pain you’re experiencing. This course isn’t just theory – it’s born from real, personal experience and designed specifically for grieving, heartbroken horse owners.

When my soulmare Belle passed, I felt a profound emptiness that I just couldn’t put into words. I couldn’t talk about my grief, or about how guilty I felt. I kept thinking that maybe I could/should have done more. I had lost horses before, but the pain had never been as intense as it was after Belle died. Creating this guide became part of my grieving process, it is my way of honouring Belle’s memory.

During this course, I share with you what helped me cope when Belle died, to help you heal and get back on track as well. I had to, I had other horses to care for, including Belle’s daughter. My Compassionate Guide to Coping with the Loss of Your Horse Course explores the different dimensions of grief, providing insights into the emotional, practical, and spiritual aspects of healing after the loss of a horse.
